That year, Sean and Gina grew extremely close and were not just an item—they were the best of friends and each other’s confidant. Despite prior commitments such as their jobs, college and projects, the couple spent what free time they had growing with each other and learning more about each other as well as themselves. Knowing that they were both the type of people who always wanted to be in a monogamous long-term committed relationship that would eventually evolve into marriage, the two discussed the option of marriage as their relationship progressed. Although Gina didn’t know it, Sean had proposal plans and parents’ blessings and the two became engaged on her 23rd birthday.
After the family birthday dinner, Sean took Gina on a short drive which led to the park by her parents’ home where Gina spent time as a child. The couple went for a short walk through the park that evening that ended with Sean on one knee and popping the question. Elated, Gina said ‘yes’! For the rest of the year, the couple worked together to make their wedding day their own special day and are excited to have all their loved ones attend their wedding on January 22nd, 2016 (a date close to both the couple’s engagement anniversary as well as the date of when they first came to be)!
